“Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich”?
This weekend I finished reading The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich by Timothy Ferris. It was an interesting read and really inspired me to cut the clutter in my daily schedule and prioritize my time for the better. As for its “New Rich” characters, I have worked too many entry-level jobs to take what I have for granted and risk everything for a few frequent flier miles. A 4-Hour Workweek sounds boring to me anyway. The 4-Hour Workweek might be worth it for me if I could spend all of my time with my cat and dog, but I can’t really see them getting past border patrol at O’Hare.
This was a fun book, but I scanned through most of it. It is simply too long (297 pages!) to live up to its title. However, the book offers up a lot of helpful links (also found on book’s site):

One way of travelling the world (and have free accommodation) is to arrange a home exchange. Many people are able to combine work and leisure now and home swapping is ideal for those who just need a reliable Internet connection to enable them to work anywhere in the world. If interested, I hope you will check out my blog, Travel the Home Exchange Way:
