Senator Edward Kennedy (http://www.spock.com/Edward-Kennedy%2C-Jr.) and Representative Carolyn Maloney (http://www.spock.com/Carolyn_Maloney_NY) are involved in the movement to add the Women’s Equality Amendment to the Constitution and pick up where the 1982 Equal Rights Amendment left off (only 35 of the 38 needed states had ratified it) (http://www.factbites.com/topics/Equal-Rights-Amendment).
